Trainee Wedding & Events Co-ordinator


Main Purpose of the Job:

To be responsible for all weddings, events, special occasions and functions and act as the intermediary between the clients and staff at Greenwoods Hotel.

To assist the events team in their general marketing activity and with the promotion and marketing of the events, weddings, conferences & functions.

Job Description:

To be responsible for the co-ordination of all weddings & events at the hotel

To liaise with all client enquiries & show potential clients around Greenwoods Hotel.

To put together and send out contracts to the clients and take deposits and monies.

To work closely with all departments at Greenwoods and produce function sheets to the relevant departments for all upcoming events.

To be responsible for the ensuring the events are set up properly and be the key contact for the each event.

To produce invoices for all bookings

To produce marketing literature such as; flyers, posters, display signs, website and any other relevant promotional literature that is required.

To ensure that all event literature is up to date and displayed internally and externally.

To be responsible for generating interest on the website and social media for events

To be actively involved in local events (i.e. wedding fayres) and also to organise similar events of our own.

To ensure that calls and emails are always answered promptly and that all messages are recorded accurately

To have an understanding of all event packages offered

Skills and Experience Required:

A strong team player.

A confident manner & outgoing personality

Polite and friendly approach.

Presentable at all times wearing correct uniform

Very strong communication skills.

A logical approach.

Ability to build relationships with all levels of people.

A good understanding of using computers.

Full time position available

Shifts will vary depending on the needs of the business and will include weekends. Applicants will need to drive as we are not near public transport.

Beauty/Spa Therapist


Main Purpose of the Job:

To provide a range of beauty treatments and therapies for our clients, from massage to facials and nail treatments.

Job Description:

Working in a busy spa environment applicants must have the relevant qualifications and some proven experience in a similar role.

We are looking for professional team members that can provide excellent customer service and a great quality of treatments at all times.

To be qualified in carrying out a range of beauty treatments

To ensure that treatments are carried out to the best of abilities at all times.

To maintain accurate timings and carry out treatments as trained.

To be responsible for ensuring that medical information is checked

To have an understanding of all treatments and products and be able to advise clients and upsell treatments and products at all times.

To provide appropriate aftercare advise to clients.

To ensure that a pleasant and personable attitude is maintained at all times and that clients are greeted and dealt with professionally.

To keep all spa areas tidy and ensure the high hygiene standards of the company are maintained and delivered at all times.

Skills and Experience Required:

A strong team player.

NVQ Level 2 and 3 in beauty therapy if appropriate.

A confident manner.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Polite and friendly approach.

Food & Beverage


Main Purpose of the Job:

To provide excellent service to clients dining in our a la carte restaurant, lounge or function rooms

Job Description:

Food & Beverage staff are expected to assist with the day to day running of our busy a la carte restaurant as well as assisting with functions and weddings.

Role will include: serving guests, setting up, using till systems and ensure that a clean and tidy work environment is kept at all times.

Applicants are expected to be professional, smart with a positive and flexible working approach. Our food and beverage staff are all customer facing and will be dealing with members of the public constantly. Applicants must have a friendly and professional demeanor, who can work well under pressure.

Skills and Experience Required:

Good customer service skills.

A confident and professional manner.

Full Time Bar & Waiting Staff

Multiple full time positions available

Shifts will vary from week to week and will include weekends and evenings.

Some relevant experience is preferred but full training will be given.

Housekeeping


Main Purpose of the Job:

To be responsible for the cleaning of the hotel bedrooms and public areas to the highest standard

Job Description:

This is a busy role, making sure that our hotel bedrooms and public areas are cleaned to the very best standard at all times.

We have recently refurbished our bedrooms to a very high standard and we are proud to achieve top 4* AA ratings all round.

The role includes; cleaning every aspect of bedroom, changing beds, hoovering and working to a set time frame.

We are looking for candidates that can work efficiently, to high standards and under pressure.

Skills and Experience Required:

Strong organisational skills.

To have a common sense approach.

Be able to work well under pressure

Full Time Housekeeping Position

Multiple full time positions available

Shifts vary, but consist mostly of mornings and approx. 20 hours per week. Shifts are decided on a rota basis and will include most weekends and bank holidays.

We offer full training in house.

Chefs


Job Description:

We require full time chefs to assist in our very busy, 4* Rosette fine dining restaurant and banqueting and wedding venue.
The role will include assisting with senior chefs in larder, pastry and sauce sections. Ensuring that items are prepped each morning and evening for service.
Assisting with buffets and sit down meals for up to 200 people.

Working in our 4 * and Rosette awarded restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar food all day, 7 days a week.

Skills and Experience Required:

Applicants must follow strict health and hygiene processes and will be responsible for ensuring the standards of cleanliness remain to a high standard.
Some relevant experience is preferred and candidates must have the appropriate level NVQ.
Shifts will vary from week to week but will include weekends and bank holidays. Approx 50 hours per week.

Applicants must have some relevant experience and must be able to drive as our venue is not accessible by public transport.

Night Porter


Main Purpose of the Job:

To be responsible for the safety and security of the hotel during the hours of 11pm-07.00. To make sure that guests are attended to and looked after appropriately.

Job Description:

Responsible for handing over information and messages main reception team.

Conducting regular security checks of the hotel and grounds throughout the evening and to record and log any details or issues that occur.

Running the computerised night audit and any other administrative duties as required.

Checking in and out of guests and offering assistance with luggage.

Ensuring that the telephone is answered and any queries are dealt with effectively and messages are logged for following morning if required.

Making sure that guests are served behind the bar.

Making sure that 24hour room service is maintained at all times.

Setting up/ putting back any function rooms that the duty manager has asked you to complete.

Making sure that newspapers are ordered and wake up calls made.

Providing a friendly and professional approach to all guests that arrive at the hotel.

Skills and Experience Required:

Computer literate

Numeracy skills.

A pleasant and confident manner.

 

Full Time Position

11pm – 7am 5 out of 7 days – will include weekends

Full training given
